Snuggle Me Organic Versus Dock A Tot

So I've been doing lots of research on YouTube with regards to taking care of new born babies.

One of the must-haves that frequently pops up in this videos from the Youtuber Moms is the Dock A Tot.

It's basically a tubular pillow that surrounds your baby and mimics the womb.
It helps to keep your baby from rolling around.
And gives the baby some sense of security.
Hence encouraging the baby to rest longer and perhaps cry much less than they would without it.

I was so tempted to get it going through the videos.
But the hefty price tag did stop me for a while.
I mean, am I going to pay like S$300 bucks for something I'm going to use for 6 months?

I was also not sure if it was suitable for Singapore't hot humid weather.

Upon further digging, I found some competitive brands and the next favorite was the Snuggle Me Organic.

It's still pretty pricey but it's seem easier to remove the cover and that it "hugs" the baby better than the Dock A Tot.

Still sitting on the fence at the moment.

To be updated.

Update: 7th October 2017We bough the Snuggle Me Organics in the end via Amazon US.
So what's the verdict?

It's Day 3 since Baby has been back home with us. And he's been sleeping very well on it.

We've been able to place him in his cot or on a bed easily with the aid of the SMO.

He looks really comfortable in it and has been able to fall asleep for long stretches of time without waking up. He normally only stirs when his diaper is soiled or he's hungry.

Was it worth it? I think so! Without it, it would be quite worrisome for us to check every now and then, to see if he had flipped too much to one side,

The quality and softness of the Snuggle Me Organics was also much better than I expected.
It's really a comfortable sanctuary for the little one.

After these few hectic days of managing and experiencing labour, handling visits and running errands and arranging hospital appointments and doing random last minute runs for baby products and groceries...,
All we want to do is for the baby to have a good rest and a comfortable environment to settle down with minimum stress and fuss,

So yes. We couldn't have made a better investment on our sanity and little one's well-being!
